Nurturing Knowledge and Faith Through Fun

At The Hyped Eid Community, we believe in the transformative power of knowledge. Our aim is to create an environment where learning about Islam isn't just enlightening, but also exciting and enjoyable.

Through a range of engaging ilm (knowledge) gathering activities, we inspire people of all ages to deepen their connection to their faith, build their understanding of Islam, and apply this knowledge to improve their lives.

What We’ve Done So Far

1

Sahaba Contests – Discovering the Heroes of Islam

One of our favourite activities has been the Sahaba Contests. In this contest, we encouraged children to talk about their favourite Sahabas (companions of the Prophet) and Sahabiyat (female companions).

It was a fantastic opportunity for them to learn about the lives of these incredible figures in Islamic history, reflect on the lessons they taught us, and build personal admiration for their sacrifices and virtues.

It wasn’t just about competition — it was about instilling pride and love for these role models.

2

Wealth and Worship Seminar – Building Halal Wealth in Today’s World

In our Wealth and Worship Seminar, we brought together Muslim business owners and community members to discuss how to earn wealth in a halal (permissible) way — while staying true to Islamic values.

We focused on practical guidance: avoiding unethical business practices, understanding barakah (blessings) in work, and aligning wealth-building with Islamic principles.

Many found it eye-opening to see how entrepreneurship and faith can grow side by side.

3

Potluck & Dhul-Hijjah Reflection – Sharing Food, Sharing Faith

One of the most heartwarming gatherings we’ve organised was a Potluck & Dhul-Hijjah (1445) Reflection event. Community members brought dishes to share, creating a vibrant atmosphere of togetherness and gratitude.

Beyond the food, we reflected on the virtues of Dhul-Hijjah — the first ten days, fasting, and the Hajj pilgrimage — in a relaxed, social setting.

A reminder: learning doesn’t always have to be formal — it can happen through connection.

Healthy Competition to Spark Growth

We believe healthy competition is a powerful motivator. By bringing excitement and a sense of achievement to our learning activities, we make sure knowledge isn’t just gained — it’s celebrated.

Whether it’s quizzes, presentations, or friendly challenges, we encourage participants to push themselves — but the goal isn’t just winning. It’s growing together, strengthening bonds, and becoming better through shared experiences.

What’s Coming Up Next?

This is just the beginning. We have more exciting activities lined up — from training workshops blending Islamic ethics with professional development, to deep dives into the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah.

We’ll keep selecting themes that are relevant and thought-provoking so our community can keep learning and growing together. We can’t wait for you to join us along the way.
