How it started
I still remember the first time we hosted our Ramadan prep day for kids — it was 2023, and I was just hoping a few families would show up. We ended the day with 29 beautiful little souls, aged 3 to 15, their hands sticky with cookie icing and their hearts full of stories about the Prophet (SAW), sadaqah, and salah.
We came back in 2024 with more energy and even more children — 58 of them, aged 3 to 18. And then, in 2025, we tried something totally new: an online edition. We weren’t sure how it would go, but 21 young Muslims joined us virtually from their homes — and the spirit was just as strong.

What we do
It’s not a class, and it’s definitely not a lecture. It’s a day packed with hands-on activities, stories, creativity, and heart. Our goal is simple: to help children feel Ramadan, not just know about it.
Sadaqah Jar Decorating
Teaching charity while they create jars to collect coins all month.
DIY Iftar Placemats
Art + duas + sunnah reminders + personal Ramadan goals.
Prayer Mat Colouring
Tiny hands, big meaning — talking about the beauty of salah.
Edible Masjid Cookie Painting
A delicious way to spark meaningful conversations.
Storytime Sessions
Gentle, age-appropriate stories from the Seerah and Ramadan.
Outdoor Scavenger Hunts
Learning as an adventure — manners, pillars, and Ramadan gems.
Each year, we introduce something new — reflective journaling, mini workshops for teens to set Ramadan goals — but always focused on connection: to Allah, to family, to purpose.
As parents, We know
As a parent, I know how fast the years go by. One minute they’re babbling beside your prayer mat, the next they’re asking why they have to fast. These moments are the perfect time to plant seeds — not of pressure, but of love. Not of guilt, but of understanding.
We want our children to look forward to Ramadan — to see it as a time of meaning, connection, and mercy. We want them to associate their faith with warmth, community, creativity, and joy.
